World Voice Day 2024 - 'Empowering Leadership Voices In Healthcare'

On the 16th and 17th April, I delivered two taster sessions for the Lancashire and South Cumbria Population Health Academy. It was very special for me that these sessions coincided with World Voice Day, aligning perfectly with the celebratory theme of 'Resonate, Educate, Celebrate' for this year.

My ‘Voice Matters: Empowering Leadership Voice in Healthcare’ sessions include a blend of theory and practical experiences aimed at empowering participants to apply their learning directly.

The groups were a mix of senior leaders and evolving leaders which led to two entirely different workshops with the same content. I absolutely love my job and although I am delivering the same material often, the group always makes each one unique.

In today's evolving leadership landscape, honing voice, presence, influence, communication skills, and emotional intelligence is crucial. Leadership is about fostering environments where everyone can thrive and contribute their best.

I was delighted for the opportunity to support the growth and development of such a dedicated group of healthcare professionals. By refining our use of voice and communication skills we are shaping healthcare leadership by embracing authenticity, presence and compassion.
